Suvarnabhumi Sky Lane and Cycle Track, Bangkok, Thailand

This 23.5km cycle track is one of the best there is! It’s very popular among locals and foreigners alike. As a tourist, I was able to hire a bike and helmet, register and get a wristband (which doubles as an account you can top up with cash to spend at the stores there) and just go. Bike hire is minimum 400THB and you need a deposit on the cashcard so bring some baht with you. There are ample facilities; a medical service, a cafes and formalised food stalls, bike kit and gear and bathrooms everywhere. The track is open all the time from 6am- I fully recommend going at sunrise. The heat of the day rises, and on a weekend it’s chockablock with cyclists, professionals, amateurs, kids. The ride is scenic, around lakes and such. It’s a really nice ride for cheaps (despite the bike hire it’s practically free) it’s excellent for beginners, such as myself who needed the restbreak/bathroom block with appears every 5km. Bring ID for free registration.
